Planted aquariums need regular fertilizationif you want to
loxury plants without nutritional deficiencies.
There are well known fertilization methods / plans that allow to have the
best results (e.g. PMDD, Estimative Index, Perpetual Preservation System)
withouth reinventing the wheel; or you can create your own personal
fertilization plan to beter feet your aquarium needs.
All of these plans can use branded products or DIY products.
The use of products of a specific brand requires the adoption of the entire
product line and the compliance with the fertilization times according to
the plan specifications.
Instead if you choose DIY it is useful to build a fertilization plan based
on the formulations created.
This new feature helps you keep track for each aquarium, of the products
to use, the timing and the doses to be respected . It also alert for any
excees or deficiency for each element depending on the combination of
formulations you use.
Let's examine the fields of this form and their usage.
First you need to choose fertilization method in the list.
At this point the list of recipes / formulations you have
entered before will be updated whith those that are valid for the chosen
method and aquarium. If you haven't entered them yet, click on the (+)
button that's near to the list.
Note: The recipes entered are formulated on the basis of the
volume of water of a certain aquarium, for this reason they cannot be
considered valid for other aquariums with different volumes. It should
indeed be obvious to anyone that adding 5ml of a substance to a 500l aquarium
don't lead to same result as adding same dose to a 20l aquarium.
If this concept is not clear for you the choose of DIY fertilization is
strongly discouraged.
At this point, if you have chosen the Custom method, it is required to insert:
At this point you can confirm value input and you will get
in the dedicated table sum of the values for each element that is added up
from all the recipes added for this aquarium.
